My name is Jo Byers
I am a local nature based therapist offering a practice that supports reconnection with nature utilising evidence based practice to facilitate corporate groups, small groups and individuals to reconnect with themselves, others and nature to improve their health and wellbeing.
Having over 10 years experience in the community services sector working in both mainstream and Aboriginal specific organisations I have extensive knowledge around the impact of stressors on physiological and physical health.
I have a real passion for person centric, therapeutic work to assist with realigning to nature and restoring balance in every person I work with. I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Family Therapy, Post Graduate Certificate in Childhood Developmental Trauma. I am also a Internationally Recoginsed Qualified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. I believe Nature Alignment is a way to combine a wholistic, evidenced based practice to help people improve their overall wellbeing to support relaxation, restoration and reliance.
Nature Alignment benefits everyone. Our body and brains are hardwired to spend time in nature. Some times our busy lives can limit the amount of time we have to prioritise our self-care, which why this practice is so important. The more time we spend in nature the benefits accumulate.
