About the event

The Shark Cage® Framework is a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach designed to support women and gender-diverse people who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing abuse or violence. This evidence-based program uses the metaphor of a “shark cage” to explore boundaries, rights, and patterns of coercion and control, helping participants to identify past experiences and develop tools for safety, empowerment, and healing.

Delivered in both group and one-on-one settings, the program provides psychosocial education to clients and community members, helping them build self-worth, recognise red flags, and make empowered choices in relationships and life.

The Shark Cage® training is also available for professionals looking to incorporate this powerful model into their own practice, supporting safer and more effective engagement with clients impacted by family violence.

Sol Synergy would like to acknowledge the GunaiKurnai people from the Bidwelli, Kroatungolung, Brabrolung, Briakolung and Bratauglung clans as the First Peoples and Custodians of this land and pay our respect to the elders past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hopes of the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island peoples of this country.

Their timeless care and connection to land, sea, sky, culture and community offers us this opportunity to connect with nature.

Sol Synergy is committed to walking alongside the GunaiKurnai people who care for the land, sea, culture and community to promote resilience, wellbeing and connection.
