About the event

Beyond the Behaviour

Mapping Risk, Impact & Accountability

A Practical 4-Hour Training for Professionals Responding to Family Violence

Understanding family violence requires more than identifying isolated incidents.

To effectively assess risk and improve safety, practitioners need to understand patterns of behaviour, coercive control, the impacts on children and family functioning, and the ways systems can unintentionally minimise or overlook harm and shift from incident-based assessments.

Beyond the Behaviour: Mapping Risk, Impact & Accountability is a practical, evidence-informed training designed to help professionals strengthen their understanding of coercive control and develop more holistic, behaviour-based assessments.

Sol Synergy would like to acknowledge the GunaiKurnai people from the Bidwelli, Kroatungolung, Brabrolung, Briakolung and Bratauglung clans as the First Peoples and Custodians of this land on which we are based and to extend that acknowledgement to all First Nations peoples across the lands on which training is delivered and pay our respect to the elders past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hopes of the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island peoples of this country.

Their timeless care and connection to land, sea, sky, culture and community offers us this opportunity to connect with nature.

Sol Synergy is committed to walking alongside the GunaiKurnai people and all First Nations people who care for the land, sea, culture and community to promote resilience, wellbeing and connection.
